Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Mario Awwad was born and raised in a city about an hour north of Los Angeles, California. He moved to the St. Louis area when he was 13, and has resided there since. He graduated from Hazelwood West High school, and went on to acquire his B.S in Health Management/Sports Medicine at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. While at SEMO, he played football for the university. Dr. Awwad's initial experience with chiropractic occurred after he sustained an injury to his neck and upper back while playing football, which created extreme pain and prevented him from playing. He tried physical therapy with no relief. With the suggestion of a teammate, he went to a chiropractor and had instant relief after the first adjustment. Since that point, Dr. Awwad made the change from pursuing physical therapy to chiropractic. He then graduated from SEMO in 1999, and continued his chiropractic studies at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri, where he followed his dream of becoming a chiropractor. After graduating with multiple honors from Logan College in 2003, he opened up his own practice later that same year in St. Charles, Missouri. His practice is expanding as his philosophy is to help as many people as possible achieve optimal health, through natural chiropractic care.
